Secrets to Getting Organised

                                        Secrets To Getting Organised

Is your New Year's Resolution in the workplace about being less easily distracted?
We have found that putting methods in place to shield yourself from the information overload we are subjected to on a daily basis, not to mention those who make demands on our time really helpful.

According to Peter Bregman in the book "18 Minutes", we rarely get enough time in the day to get everything done so he tries to hone in our focus. He advocates that by spending 18 minutes a day on planning, you are much more likely to stay on track. He has devised focus areas for the year and if someone or something makes a demand on his time that just doesn't come into his areas of focus, he will delegate or just politely say no.

Focusing on the outcome we want and just doing the things that will achieve that is key. Bregman says "knowing what outcome you want will enable you to focus on what matters and escape the whirlwind of activity than too often leads nowhere fast."
